Недавно обнаружил, что при включенном MPD все остальные звуки глушатся, в том числе IM-оповещения и звук мониторинга. Система – Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat). Немного погуглив, нашел решение. Кому интересно – под катом:
Даем юзеру mpd доступ к PulseAudio – аудиосистеме, по умолчанию установленной в Ubuntu:
$ sudo usermod -a -G pulse-access mpd $ sudo usermod -a -G pulse mpd $ sudo apt-get install paprefs $ paprefs
В выскочившем окошке во вкладке Network Server отмечаем галочками Enable network access to local sound devices и Don’t require authentication.
В конфиге /etc/mpd.conf изменяем секцию вывода звука на следующую:
audio_output {
type "pulse"
name "HDA Intel"
}
Перезапускаем MPD и радуемся жизни!
sudo /etc/init.d/mpd restart
